Fiftieth anniversary of the restart of the production of swords by WKC.

The prehistory of the company Weyersberg, Kirschbaum and Cie in Solingen started in the Middle Ages, as one of the first trade marks of its type for the sabres and swords. InCliquez pour vue détaillée 1560, the '' king's head'' mark, signature of forging mill,Johannes Wundes was recorded.

This trade mark was taken, later by the Weyersberg family. With the Kirschbaum's family trade mark, the helmet of knightCliquez pour vue détaillée (1854), these two symbols became universally known in 1883 by the union of two companies W.K.Co.


In 1900, becoming the largest company of Solingen, WKC produced ceremonial swords for the foreigner and national markets, but also bayonets, bicycles and parts of motor cycles. The production was stopped after the bombardment of Solingen, on Nov. 4th and 5th 1944.

November 17th, 1955, the producer of knives Hans Kolping with her partner Margard Willms, started again the production after having invest in the
forge and they succeeded in positioning back a relationship with customers.


In March 1956, the first historical sabres of parade left the company. Many contracts coming from the whole world were signed again in favour of WKC company. This birthday's sabre points out the resumption of the production and the single engagement of Hans Kolping, Margard Willms and of all the collaborators of the company. Limited Edition, world wide, of 100 pieces, recalling that '' the tradition needs symbols, signs and ceremonies.

They cannot replace the internal values of the tradition, but
however ensure its current conservation''. Invest also in a time of the tradition.

  • Luxuary Box made of oak wood with glass.
